Pulse is a fictional design project imagining an app that shows the heartbeat of a city in real time — events, concerts, spontaneous plans, and cultural activities as they happen.
The social media system was designed to be immediately recognisable in a busy feed. High-contrast typography, electric blue accents, and a bold grid structure convey urgency and liveness. Every post feels like a signal.
The visual language borrows from urban infrastructure — circuit-board grids, data visualisations, signal lines — reinterpreted through bold editorial design. Blue on black creates maximum contrast; white type cuts through noise.
The feed grid was designed as a single coherent composition when viewed as a whole, while each individual post works independently.
Feed posts, story formats, and a full grid composition were developed, alongside the app's brand identity — logotype, icon, and a motion-ready typographic system designed for adaptation across digital formats.
